    本研究は、持続可能な郊外住宅地居住を目指し、最終的には地域の協同性に関わる住生活の諸側面において、個々の居住者が地域の取り組みに可能な限り参加する、そのような住み方の浸透を目指すものである。調査の結果、住民の地域組織や地域活動への参加意識は相対的に高く、6割近い住民が地域の活動に関わりたいとの意識を有していた。それを裏付けるように、地域参画意欲の形成に大きく関わる“地域に関わって住む”住み方、すなわち地域に住む上での生活態度や地域役割意識、地域への帰属性を意味する地域への愛着や居住継続希望などへの意識はいずれも高い。“地域に関わって住む”住み方が定着、浸透していることを確認した。

    We conducted a fact-finding survey of local residents' consciousness of their relationship to the community in suburban residential areas. We have summarized the results as follows. 1. We found a considerable number of residents whose life attitudes and mindsets were well-disposed towards contributing to community projects with regard to the provision of "hard" environments of the following: greenery and streetscapes, crime and disaster prevention, community facilities management, and child-care and elderly household support. 2. Comparison with residents of urban neighborhoods reveals that such "potential" is relatively higher in residential suburbs. 3. Findings from this study show that half of those surveyed in a target residential suburb demonstrate a willingness to participate in local organizations and activities concerned with developing both the "hard" and "soft" components of the their local living environment.

    For the increase of international students, dormitories and students' apartments need to be accommodating diverse cultures and lifestyles. To know their demand precisely, we conducted a questionnaire survey with 200 international students residing in Japan. We asked for their profile, housing experience, current lifestyle, and housing preference. With a combination of cross-tabulation and factor analyses, some correlations between the respondents' background and their housing preference were detected, but we observed more flexibility in adapting new lifestyles Cultural difference was becoming smaller and smaller for the last 30 years. Especially Chinese students' lifestyle in the last 20 years has changed drastically.

    本稿は、住民のまちづくりへの参加のためにどのような教育が必要なのかを検討するために一戸建て住宅地住民を対象に「地域やまちづくりへの住民参加やまちづくりのための教育の在り方」に関する意識調査を行ない、住民がまちづくりへ参加するための現状と課題を明らかにすることを目的としている。調査の結果、現状の公告やパブリックコメント等による現状の都市計画への参加方法についての理解や利用が十分でないことが伺えた。

    This research considers whether the three-story detached houses currently located in urban areas is viable city housing stock. The method of research involved a questionnaire survey of residents living in single three-story houses to clarify their amenity, and degree of continued resident habitation intention. The results show that since plottage is narrow and cramped, barrier-free and other amenities are compromised, and clearly these houses lack functional elements to alleviate problems faced by their aging residents. Moreover, since there is much dissatisfaction with the extent of earthquake resistance, I think that an obligation to provide seismic reinforcement, and regulating the area of the site, and other safety or amenity features, are required in order for the single three-story house to become viable city housing stock.

    The aim of this paper is to address the problem regardind the relation between socioeconomic circumstances and environmental awareness amang people, and to clarify some conclusion reached. Research involved a questionnaire survey concerning the remarkable jump in gasoline prices experienced in 2008, and how it influenced automobile use amang consumers.

    本論文は企業アンケート結果に基づき建築分野における環境に配慮した製品の現状と課題について論じたものである。主な結果としては (1) 建築系製品製造企業において環境配慮型製品が多く製造されている、 (2)「石油化学製品」および「木材」はこれらの企業の原料の2つの大きな柱であり、 また、「健康」と「自然」を特色とした製品は「リサイクル」よりも多い、(3) 半数の企業が行政による規制や基準の設定を望んでいる、があげられる。

    A wooden detached house is constructed a lot at the high growth period, and will face the time of the rebuilding one by one in the building in the future. I paid attention to a wooden detached house with the possibility that removing and the rebuilding will increase in the building in the future in this research. I considered the possibility of recycling and reuse in a wooden detached house through the dismantlement trader questionnaire.

    都市環境において緑が果たしている機能や役割，および人と緑の関わりの歴史を軸に緑に託した人々の思いについて述べる．人類の歴史の中で行われてきた都市開発や自然破壊により常に緑は減少し続けてきた．それに対して緑の保全や緑を増やしていくためにどのような取り組みや制度または緑化手法があるのかを概観する．また，身近な施設の緑化や住民参加による地域の緑化の事例を紹介し，緑豊かな都市環境がどのように創り出されてきたかについて述べる．
