特方性キラル媒質で構成された周期構造による光波の散乱問題を解析する手法を提案した。 解析方法は、すべての電磁界が空間高調波間の結合として表現された、系統的な行列形式で厳密に定式化されている。 数値計算例では、制限波状に変化している密度変調形格子に対して本解法を適用し、非キラル等方性誘電体格子の場合には見られない、表面波との結合による異常回折現象およびBragg条件による円偏波の回折波間結合を明らかにした。
