This report describes a method of searching the piece of the file contaminated by speech signal. Experimental result shows efficacy of using cumultive distance. Problem of searching source signal by using search key, which is mixed signal, is formulated that the problem is to search piece of signal from signal database. The piece of signal is a part that constitutes mixed signal. The mixed signal is used as search key. In this report, mixed signal consists of two source signals. One is music signal. Another is speech signal. The mixed signal is generated by cutting music from arbitrary starting position. The problem is two aspect. Searching target source is music signal. And searching target source is speech signal. We focus on searching performance of music source signal. The perfomance is evaluated by average miss and average false alarm. We test music search performance by using 1, 10, 30, 50, 100 cumulative distance. It is suggested that cumulative distance improves the performance. By using 100 cumulative disntace, experimental result shows average miss = 64 % and average false alarm = 1 %.
