The basic technique for rescue support system by using UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE (UAV) at the time of large-scale natural disaster is examined. The UAV estimates the position of the victim (distance and direction) by the light receiving device built with a conic model sheet which a laser beam can penetrate attached to UAV receiving the laser sheet light from the laser pointer which a victim has. We measured the projection shape (arc shadow) of the laser sheet light by imaging laser sheet light with a CCD camera from the corn base side. We grasp a direction and the dis-tance of the oscillation source by a figure processing this arc.
